Troubleshooting
If the Extension is not functioning as expected, try the following steps:
- Ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome. The Extension requires Chrome version 88 or later.
- Verify the Extension is enabled by navigating to
chrome://extensionsand confirming the toggle for Signal Morph is active. - Clear the Extension's local data by clicking the "Reset Preferences" option within the Extension's settings panel, if available.
- Disable other new tab override extensions that may conflict with Signal Morph. Only one extension can control the new tab page at a time.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Extension from the Chrome Web Store to restore default settings.
- Restart your browser after making any changes.
Compatibility
- Browser: Google Chrome (version 88 and above) and Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Arc.
- Operating System: Windows 10+, macOS 10.15+, Linux, and ChromeOS.
- Mobile: Chrome extensions are not supported on mobile browsers. The Extension is designed for desktop use only.
How to Uninstall
To remove Signal Morph from your browser:
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions. - Locate Signal Morph in the list of installed extensions.
- Click the "Remove" button.
- Confirm the removal when prompted.
All locally stored preferences and data will be permanently deleted upon uninstallation. No residual data is retained.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Extension collect any data? ↓
No. Signal Morph does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. No information is sent to external servers. You can review our full Privacy Policy for details.
Why do I see sponsored content? ↓
Signal Morph is a free extension. To sustain development and keep the Extension free for all users, we may display clearly labeled sponsored content or banner advertisements. All sponsored content is visually distinguished and never disguised as organic content.
How are my preferences stored? ↓
Your preferences are stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage API. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to Signal Morph or any third party. Uninstalling the Extension permanently deletes all stored preferences.
